Jolly Phonics divides sounds into 7 groups through which the children learn to read and spell.
Children are taught the 42 main letter sounds through story-telling, actions and songs. Two letter sounds are taught on an average every week.
Using different multi-sensory methods like tracing in air & sand, on white/chalk board and finally using pen and paper, the children learn how to form and write the letters.
Children are taught how to blend the sounds together to read and write new words.
Listening for the individual sounds in words gives children the best start for improving spelling.
Tricky words have irregular spellings and sound so the children learn these separately to help them read. For example: he, I, again, there.
"Samanth enjoys the sessions because it is fun learning with Ms Neha. Now when he sees words in books etc., he tries to pronounce them. Overall a very good experience and we would definitely recommend the phonics class by Ms Neha."
"I always believed that training in Phonics sets in a strong foundation for any child and phonics training at Pearlkidzz gave my son exactly that. After attending the sessions with Ms Neha, my son could conceptually start reading words and this gave way to his increased interest in reading as well!. My son always enjoys each of his sessions and looks forward for the next!. And this attributes to the aura created by Ms Neha with a definite mention to her patience, flexibility, dedication and her approach of teaching. Thanks to Neha and Pearlkidzz for bringing out the little inquisitive reader in my son!"
"I heard about Pearlkidzz through my friend and enrolled my son. Jolly phonics is a excellent programme and it is taught in an equally jolly fun way. The creativity and tricks of Ms Neha made it interesting for my son who found it initially difficult to read. He is now able to comprehend and read well in a short span. And I cannot speak enough about the patience of Ms Neha in answering all our queries’, giving feedbacks, her flexibility and charming temperament."

YES. Phonics is a great way for children with English as an second language to develop their reading and writing skills. We teach in English but can communicate in Indian regional languages if the child is facing difficulty in understanding a concept.
We highly recommend the parents to reinforce some work at home i.e. reading to the child and dictation. This helps in creating a parent-child bond, the parents can track the progress of the child and highlight any problem areas to the instructor.
We pride in personalized training. We ensure that we always maintain 1:1 or 1:2 ratio of teachers to children so that we can focus our most on the child’s individual needs.
